Musical Monday v.17
Monday! Hope the weekend treated you ever so well. Mine was nothing to complain about. Friday night I went in to tack the job of cleaning our bedroom and ended up redoing the whole thing. Oops. Maybe those energy drinks aren’t all bad? Saturday was spent at a school thing for Lilie, drawing for hours and visiting my in-from-Florida aunt. Sunday was church, lunch with grandparents and being home bodies. It was fabulous.
For your Musical Monday, I’m switching it up a bit. I have a piece for you that really doesn’t go along with anything else I’ve featured before. The music is a little different and the animation has a different feel than the rest. Its fun and fresh. I think you’ll love it, though. I think this sweet little tune will really put a little pep in your step.
The artist is Goldfish and the song is Soundtracks & Comebacks. I’m not going to lie. This one is probably as new to me as it is to you. I’m totally digging it, though, and I hope you like it as well.
Enjoy!!

Mahahahaha! Happy Halloween, my lovely little ghouls! My little lady plans to dress as either Simba or Batgirl tonight. Photos to come!
My dressup night was this past weekend. I went as a fabulous zombie. I used an old dress I had lying around. The construction of my costume was quite a fun little task, I do say.
I just threw this little bute with some torn tights, boots, some wicked good makeup, wounds and messy hair. And whoila: Meghann post zombie apocalypse.
Do you dig?
And to celebrate the fun day, I have a great old classic to complete the Musican Monday post. Who loves werewolves?
Musical Monday v.15
Happy Monday! The weekend is over and schedules are back in full swing. Speaking of schedules, ours has been totally off. I mean, completely.
Just a month ago, I was getting up at least 30-45 minutes before anyone else. That extra me-time enabled me to sit quietly with a cup of coffee, go through my email, work on my blog and just generally get my thoughts together before starting the day. Alas, that little routine has long since passed and I am not happy about it. Now, I must start the war of rising early once more. Ugh.
But anyway, today is Monday and I do have a little diddy to share with you. Its something I stumbled across when scanning the web for some fabulous typography to share on my new blog {which I will officially introduce to you once its al up and going in the fashion of my choosing.
I don’t know that I’ve ever really heard this artist before, but they’re lovely none the less.
Enjoy!!

Happy Monday!
Its been a slow for my so far. I’m so exhausted from all the go-go-go. It seems like we’ve done nothing but run around, plan, prepare and run some more for the past few weeks. I think this weekend was the last of that, though. We’re ready to just sit at home and go back to our regular home-body selves.
The reception? Oh, me. Let’s not talk about it. Let’s just say that I have literally no luck with cake. Period. Haha.
I do, however, owe a super huge ginormous ‘thank you’ to my mom and grandmother, though. We appreciate their time and efforts so much.
Today, I have one of my favorite songs byt one of my favorite actors, from one of my favorite movies. Little House by Amanda Seyfried. This girl is gorgeous and I love pretty much everything she’s been in {ok, minus Jennifer’s Body. ick}.
So, here you go, friends. A lovely little tune from the Dear John soundtrack.
Enjoy!
Musical Monday v.14
I’m back!! Happy Monday and back to reality day. Bummer. But Its comfortable to be back in my own home.
Or maybe I’m just more of an adult now.
South Carolina was great and an amazing. It was windy, but the temperature was a perfect 80degrees with chilly nights and mornings. We even had a couple of surprise guests. I’ll be sure to tell you more and share pictures later.
I just wanted to provide you with a little music to make your start to the week a little better… Oh! And to tell you that Rae is the winner of the Tote Bag Giveaway. Woohoo!!
If the winner does not email me by Wednesday at 3pm, I’ll draw a new winner.
This week, I have some John Mayer love for you. I love this song anyway, but his version just makes me swoon.
Here’s Free Fallin’ by John Mayer.
Enjoy!
Musical Monday v.13
Happy Monday, friends! And welcome to my new home. This is it! My baby. It doesn’t look like much, but whoo-whee I worked on this thing.
I invite you to have a look around to see how you like! Go on! Explore, wander and see. What do you think? Do you love it?
I also want to go ahead and invite you to sign up for my email subscription or grab the RSS feed over there so you won’t miss a thing.
And since today is still Monday, I have a music video to share with you.
Lets kick start our day with “Home” by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. It seemed perfect for today.
Enjoy!

Who loves Michelle Branch? *hand raised* I do, I do! Please tell me I’m not the only fan. I’ve always loved her music.
I remember riding the senior van on the way home from away games during my soccer years. I’d lean over against the window with my totally awesome CD player letting the road lull me.
Well, I looked her up on YouTube the other day and guess what I found. A new video. It was posted back in August and I’m a little excited to share it.
So, for today’s Musical Monday, here’s Michelle Branch with Loud Music.
Enjoy!
Musical Monday v. 12
Morning, dears. I’m feeling a bit under the weather, so I’m going to keep things short and sweet today. I was severed hot echinacea tea in bed and barely made it to class.
The rest of the day will consist of laying around, soup and movies.
For today’s Musical Monday feature, I have a little something by Snow Patrol.
Enjoy!
Monday Musical v.11
Morning! And a beautiful one, it is. A little chilly and a bit foggy, but just right. I’ve gotten Lilie off to school and am now just sitting around the table drinking coffee with my Dad and Teeyl {aka the not-so-wicked stepmom}.
We had a pretty good weekend. Visiting, The Help, hot tubs, go karts, family and food. Oh yeah! And *the* dress came in. I need to find some one who’s good at alterations, though.
On with our Monday traditions. Today, I have another song from Kate Nash. Its called Nicest Thing. It does have more of a saddish tone to it, but I do really like the song. I think a lot of us girls have been in the same position. I know I’ve been there, anyway.
But the video is cute and the artist is one of a my faves, so there.
So, here we go. Another Kate Nash for your Musical Monday.
Enjoy, friends!!
Musical Monday v.10
Happy Labor Day!! And what a chilly one, it is! We have our A/C off, sweatpants on and a cozy coffee in hand.
The rain we had come through really cooled things off for us. I can’t wait to get dressed in jeans and a cardigan. I may even go all the way into boots!
Because the chilly weather has me thinking anything but summer, I’m wanting to go ahead and share this not-so-summery song with you. Its by two and my most liked artists: Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson.
Today’s feature is called Winter Song. Now, I’m most definitely not trying to rush winter, but the animation is adorable and it does have a happy ending.
I hope you enjoy! Happy Monday.
