Surprise! I’ve had work done!
Oh, darlin’. What a week it seems to have been.
In case you hadn’t noticed, Fuzzy Little Wishballs has been through, yet another, makeover. This was all initiated by some malware code being planted in my blog. Yep, I got hacked, yet again. Needless to say, I’ve sought out the best in security plugins and tightened my ropes. This baby’s solid–err I hope.
Luckily, I had planned on doing a redesign after school let out, so I already had a pretty good idea of what I wanted. I love the new look and hope you don’t have any trouble finding what you need. If you’ll notice, I actually switched some links out over on the right. Some that were never used {google+ & tumblr} for new ones {flickr & instagram}.
So, please look around and see what you can get into. Also, I’m missing quite a bit of posts from my first six months. I’m still working on getting that restore. That’s taking a back burner, for now, though.

The rest of the week has been filled with gardening, end of semester class work, more gardening, visiting with my grandparents, more school work and more gardening.
I did, however finally find a dress for my sister’s wedding. That was a hard task, for sure.
Finally, the week is over, though. The weekend is here, which {even when busy} always seems to feel more relaxed. This new feeling that has been creeping into my mind/heart only seems to help–more on that later. I can’t wait for school to let out! I have so many great content ideas to share with you this summer!
Yup, I think things are pretty good, here, on the homefront; for they could always be worse. Smile on my face and looking forward from here.
Have you had any particularly frustrating moments this week? How did they work out?
Free Print: My Favorite Quote about Life
Hello, love. Happy Friday!
Today is a pretty big day. Lilie and I are going to get her enrolled for kindergarten. I’m so excited for her! Where has the time gone? Its crazy how much faster time seems to go by as you get older and have kids. We’re constantly doing something which makes the time seem to just zoom by. ”Time flies, when you’re having fun.”
I’m certainly looking forward to savoring time spent together this summer. It will be my last summer break before my last year of school. That’s a whole can of worms in its self.
Anyway, before I get too sentimental, I’ll get to what I came for. Or rather the other way around. I made something the other day. As I told you before, and if you’ve ever received an email from me, one of my all time most favorite quotes is one that seems to touch on all parts of life. The good, the bad, the actions and the emotions. My stepmom shared it with me a few years ago and I’ve kept it somewhere I could see often.
I decided to make it into my own print. I have a couple of frames laying around and a whole pack of card stock paper. This will be perfect, perhaps, in my kitchen. I hope you enjoy this free print, too.

Little Sister’s Bridal Shower Invitations
Happy hump day, loves! Friday is just around the corner!
My Friday will be spent addressing invitations for my little sister’s bridal shower. I’ve been appointed head chief of the mission, and Grandma has been recruited as my assistant. She’s a great partner, so I have no doubt it will be a success.
Since I’m throwing this shindig, I’m obviously head of decision-making. Therefore, when the question of invitations came up, I already had an answer. I created this lovely little design to lightly reflect the style/theme of the wedding. Blue and black are her colors and big eye catching daisies are her flower of choice.
Well, what do you think? Do you love it? Assuming you do, I’m happy to inform you that the design can most definitely be customized to fit your needs right over here.
Later, Gater!
Riding Bikes instead of Using Gas

With gas prices consistently rising, I’m sure we’re not the only ones trying to cut back on unnecessary travels. However, I find having only one car a little helpful. Its easier to track our traveling and fill-ups. And with work, Billy is hoping to keep his closer-to-home position because of the convenient bike-riding distance.
Speaking of bike rides, we decided to use leg power instead of gas power for a family outing this past weekend. I don’t mean just a leisurely ride; we were going to attend at church function a few miles from home. So we had a purpose and destination. Since Lilie is still a novice rider and we were to be on/near busy roads, we decided to use the pull behind trailer.

We weren’t far down the road before Billy was huffing and puffing and working up a real sweat {his bike was pulling the trailer}. However, we quickly found that his struggles were not merely lack of physical shape, rather two flat tires. By the way, have you ever road a bike or pulled a trailer with flat tires? Holy cow. That’s a story for another time. Yeah, it sucks.
Anyway…
So, both the trailer’s tires were flat. No big deal; just tough it out a bit more. There’s a gas station on the way. We survive the busy roads I was worried about and safely make it to the gas station. We scrounge enough change to trade in for $1 {a whole dollar for air!?} and get the first tire airing up. Then…
•POP•
After literally three seconds, the tire literally pops. And that was the end of our family outing on bikes. We walked, off and on, back home and called it a night.

I look forward to more bike rides to come. Lilie has started practicing with no training wheels and I imagine she’ll be more interested in longer trips as she gets better. I remember my family taking bike rides through the neighborhoods. Good memories. We had this on particular gas station we liked to ride to for frozen yogurt. Hmm… I wonder if we could make it to Sonic from here. Happy Hour anyone?
Moral of the story: looking for a more intense workout? Don’t check the tires before you start your ride.
Adult-Only Weeks Can be Good
The house has been too quiet this past week. Lilie Jo has been on Spring Break and therefore went to spend some time with her Daddy. I know she’s having a blast {bc we call each other so often} but she has been terribly missed. But breaks are always good for everyone. And like they say: distance makes the heart grow fonder. As if my heart could possible hold any more love for that child.
In the mean time, I’ve tried to spend my week being 100% wife to Billy. Our time has been good together. Here are some of my favorite things from this past week:
- Walking in the woods and getting lost with cool people. Oh, yeah, and Gus, the turtle. He escaped after only four days. I’m sad Lil doesn’t get to see the little guy.
- Getting invited to work behind the scenes with the media team at church.
- Sitting on the patio without having to fuss at little girls who don’t always play nicely. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss it.
- Having the quiet house all to myself on the nights Billy works. Sippin’ decaf earl grey watching the boob-tube. {do people still even call it that?}
- My Wednesday night small group with ladies from church. I love getting to know these girls.
- Sipping coffee made by my love. That is seriously one of the most romantic things to me: when Billy makes me coffee.
- Instagramming. In case you’ve missed the buzz, Instagram has finally become available in the Android market and this girl couldn’t be more please. Instagram was the only reason I ever had for possibly switching to iPhone. No need, now. BTW follow me @meghannchapman
- Sitting in Centennial Park with Billy after our Nashville errand yesterday. We took a picnic, threw the frisbee and I drew some. It was a pretty much perfect day, really.
And that wraps up my adult-only week of goodness. My baby comes home this evening and Mama couldn’t be more excited to see her. Seven whole days, she has been gone. Much too long, if you ask me. But I admit, its a great little cushion for this last month of school. Maybe it won’t be quite as stressful with a better state of mind.
But enough about me. What about you? What’s your favorite thing from this past week?
Princess Procrastinator’s Top 5 Methods of Procrastination
And it starts: the long stretch of the last month of Spring semester. It always seems to be worse than Fall. I think Spring semester is worse because that’s when Mother Nature decides to bless us cabin fever-stricken, sunburn-deprived, Summer babies with a bit of fair weather after months of wintry torture.
Don’t get me wrong. I love boots, scarves, cozy sweaters and cardigans; but a southern bred girl can only take so much before she needs her toes in the grass and sun-kissed skin to bring her back to life.
As the professor’s use the last month to pile on the load of final projects, homework and whatever else they forgot to assign earlier in the semester, I become Princess Procrastinator. I call myself the princess because as bad as I seem to be, there’s always at least a few in the class that are worse. I’ve known several to literally walk out of the computer lab with freshly finished projects to turn in, still wearing the yesterday’s outfit.
Also, princess just makes me sound more fresh and sexy.
Due to my near-mastering of the skill, I’d like to share my top five methods of Spring semester procrastination:
“I think I need a snack. Bagel? Salad? String Cheese!”
“Flickr? Oh, yeah, I was meaning to go make a new account of there…”
“Oh! Idea. Let’s write a blog post.” {hence, you are reading this}
“Hmm, now I think I want a glass of iced tea. Crap, someone drank the last of it. Guess I’ll make more.”
“The patio sure does look lonely out there. Someone’s gotta hold the fort down; might as well be me.”
I know what you’re thinking, “How is the patio and excuse? You can do your work on the patio.” *insert wrong answer buzzer sound* Wrong–well, kind of. I can get my work done there, if I have plenty of time. Because with the patio comes little girls, excessive daydreaming, chatting with whoever, random inspiration, and more daydreaming.
Ok, that’s enough procrastinating. Back to that drawing essay I was writing.
p.s. Notice I didn’t list Facebook or Twitter. I assume you follow me there and, therefore, I need not list the most obvious of methods.
What are your favorite methods of procrastination??
Ella Grace’s First Birthday Invitations
Hi, there, darlin’! Nice of you to drop by. I’m so glad you did. Pull up a chair and I’ll pour you a glass of sweet tea.
I have something I want to share with you, today. A lovely little lady, I know, will soon by turning one. Sweet little Ella Grace is the daughter of one of my dear cousins, Ashley. A few days ago, Ashley sent me an email asking if I would design some invitations for the little one’s birthday celebration. Of course, I was happily obliged and super excited. Ashley asked to include a photo and use the colors pink and green.
I ended up being so happy with the end design, I just couldn’t wait to share it with you.
Weekend in the Backyard
This weekend was very soul healing–or some hippie joojoo like that. It was mostly spent at home, in the backyard, with my amazing little family and I just wanted to share a couple of my favorite photos of it. Friday night was mostly a girl thing. Billy worked and Alicia came over and helped hold the back patio down with me. We watched over a yard of little girls and sat, chatting, late into the night.
Saturday was mostly lazy. Frankie had her 5th birthday celebration, so we had no choice but to have a little fun with some of my favorite people. She had a circus/carnival theme ful of face paint, cotton candy and popcorn cupcakes. Lilie was cracking me up with her puppy dog face and Harry Potter glasses. I swear she looked like a cartoon character.
After the party, my little brother and sister drove down for some UK basketball, grilling and hair coloring. Another night wasted away on the back patio. *sigh* Oh, how I love pretty weather. Sunday was spent doing the exact same thing.
Its also been brought to my attention that Lilie and I will be spending the summer by the pool with our best friends. One of our Christmas presents was a season pass for each of us to a local waterpark. Well, I’ve finally recruited the bffs {and Frankie} to do the same so we have some company. I’m stoked. I see a lot of sun screen in my very near future.
I’m so ready to be a beech bum all summer. Its going to be fabulous.
