Friends or Stalkers

When we relocated to Bowling Green, we were so lucky to find such a nice, cozy home. We have a big back yard, a fireplace, a garage and a wonderful neighborhood.  Now that Spring is getting closer, another great advantage is becoming convenient: a park in walking distance.  Swings?  What?!  Lilie is ready to go.

Today, Laura (college-mom friend) and her daughter, Frankie, met up with Lilie and I for a play date at the park.  When we relocated, the park wasn’t the only convenience that we gained. A couple of my very best friends, Laura being one of them, live in Bowling Green.

I lived with these girls during my first college experience.  They became family to me.  We then spent the next four and a half years living one to two hours away.    I am ecstatic to be closer to them.

If you’re in college right now–actually, I think this is good advice for everyone–choose your friends wisely.  I hope you choose fun, good hearted, down to earth, loveable people that are good influences on you.  Yes, I only hope you can be as lucky as me.  It makes for a good life.  These people are there for everything.

They are there to push you to do the things you’re afraid of and they’re there to talk you out of doing something you probably shouldn’t.  They will be there during  the funniest of times; like laughing so hard, you pee your pants in the cafeteria.  They will be there for the happiest of times, such as babies being born.  They will definitely be there for the toughest of times; like when families are no longer whole.  Basically, they’re going to stalk you for the rest of your life .  :)

So, make sure you pick people that are successful, interesting, well humored, caring and… “innocent.”  Easy-to-get-along with helps, too.  I mean, who wants to be stuck with a bunch of difficult, grouchy punks for the rest of their lives?

“The best things in life come in threes, like friends, dreams and memories.”
